...if you find this blogpost's title interesting, well, sorry to say that the this post's title has a absolutely nothing to do with what i'm going to write in this post. I decided to put that title for this post because...because....of my own personal reasons. Admit it, it makes a good quote.
okay, enough griefing.
I went back to jurong (again), but this time, for a reasonably major reason. On the 10th of december, which was 2 days ago, jurong point was opening it's extention. The management claims that the new jurong point extention makes jurong point twice as large as before. They're so confident about it, they even name the new jurong point extention as "jurong point 2". This actually does make sense, because the new jurong point is FREAKIN HUGE!!!. For starters, jurong point is now larger than Lot1 + Bukit panjang plaza + Ten Mile junction all put together. No, i'm not kidding. We walked around jurong point so much that even after 2 hours, I felt as if I just scratched the surface. I swear I could have gotten lost. There are more than 500+ shops, and rest assured, you can find pretty much ANYTHING there. ANYTHING AT ALL(except for all the mama shop stuff, of course).
On the exterior, the old jurong point is still the pinkish purple kinda colour, but the jurong point extention is a clean white (i'm not sure if they're done with the painting though).
jurong point 1 & 2 are, or course, merged and linked to each other in every possible way they could, and the integeration between these two is pretty darn good, because the 2 malls now essentially feel like one hell of a mustafa centre. On top of jurong point 2 is a....get this: a condominium. yep, there is a condominium above the brand new extention of jurong point. Shit, I would kill to live there.
We bought drinks at starbucks, and let me tell you one thing right to your face: The starbucks outlet at jurong point looks so cool and outstanding, you'll actually want to stop there and buy something for the sake of it. Really. Ever felt like just going to grab a cup of bubble tea whenever you want? yeah, it's the same feeling here.
There's alot to say and talk about, but i'll keep it short, for the sake of a short blogpost. (the previous blogposts are admittedly lengthy)
So my friend spotted this store called "challenger". Was it was is actually a tech store. It was quite..., no, VERY neat. It was a very neat store with IT stuff for the average user AND gadget freaks. I noticed something at this store: the laptops they sold were good. Really, really good. Truckloads better than the landfill of laptops you would find at junkyards such as Courts or Harvey Norman. It is noted, however, that harvey norman is a little better than Courts. But, god.
...anyway, the laptops at challenger were pretty neat. Among these laptops, was this:
Oh.My.God. Apple's new MacBook is one hell of a beauty, and this macbook makes the old white macbook look old. However, putting form aside, i'd say this laptop has some serious functionality too, because it's fast. Really, really fast.
The body is made up of entirely one piece of ALUMINIUM. So yeah, you are not going to see any screws or bolts joining parts of this laptop together. Because the entire body is one part, the laptop is also thinner.
Also notice that the trackpad has no click button. Haha, it's made up of glass, and I've tried it for myself. Clicking is a pleasure (!). To click, press down the entire trackpad. Yes, the entire trackpad is the click button. Walao eh apple.
The keyboard lights up in the dark too. I personally don't see much practical use in this, but maybe there are people out there who use thier MacBooks in the dark. Whatever.
Okay, i've said enough. This is the perfect laptop, and definitely the top in the industry. Get this laptop, and you'll have no regrets. That's for sure.
We also saw this:
This screen from Sony, part of thier Bravia series, is chio! (Tun Li, if she's reading this, might just start droooooling over the green). Wow, imagine THAT screen as my computer monitor/TV. Crap, it's....chio. Chio, chio chio.
